The FOSS BactoScan™ is a valuable tool in the rapid assessment of the quality of milk.
The FOSS BactoScan™ FC is used for payment analysis and monitoring on-farm hygenic status. By using BactoScan™ instrumentation, the dairies can also monitor incoming raw milk. Serious contamination can thereby be detected instantly, poor quality milk can be rejected, and only the best-suited milk used for dairy production.
BactoScan™ Schedule
The program is conducted monthly, however, six months worth of samples are dispatched in January and July (refer timetable).
BactoScan™ Sample Description
Samples are offered as a four-sample set, consisting of freeze-dried vials with instructions for preparation of “simulated” milk samples. Participants are given a week to examine the samples and return results.
