VeriCal Reference Milks

VeriCalTM and VeriCalTM Low-Plus reference milks are designed to assist assurance of milk testing conducted by your laboratory.

Reference Milks used in Calibration

These reference milks are utilised in the calibration of infra-red milk testing instruments for:
  • Supplier payment
  • In-house testing
  • Herd testing
  • Milk tanker testing
  • Processed milk testing, including low fat and modified milks. 

VeriCalTM reference milks are suitable for instruments used to test whole milk, and VeriCalTM Low‑Plus reference milks are designed for instruments testing modified and low fat milk.

Each set of reference milks comprises five fractions which cover the following ranges:

All reference milks are traceable to a national standard through the use of Australian Standard test methods in the determination of reference values.

Reference Values are supplied for: Fat, Protein (true & crude), Lactose, Total Solids and Solids Non-Fat and are also supplied. Values are reported in both mass/mass and mass/volume terms.
 
VeriCalTM and VeriCalTM Low-Plus reference milks are provided on a six weekly basis to laboratories throughout Australia. Please Contact Us for more information on the availability of VerCalTM reference milk.
